Steve began his career in landscape design primarily from influences of the Southwest, creating native sonoran desert landscapes.  The landscape architecture of Southern Arizona has a strong Spanish influence; masonry construction such as brick, adobe and natural stonework are key elements that link outdoor living areas and foliage to the architecture of the Southwest.

His interests in landscape design led him to Hawaii to continue his career in the landscape industry highlighting the tropical and Asian influenced beauty of the Hawaiian islands.

He apprenticed for 4 years with a master Japanese garden designer from Kyoto, Japan designing and installing authentic Japanese Gardens.  Waterfalls, koi ponds, rock gardens and Traditional Japanese Tea gardens were all designed and installed under the discreminating eye of this Master Japanese Gardener.

He has been a licensed landscape contractor in the State of Hawaii since 1996.  His industry experience and artistic talents have contributed to designing and building many projects through out the Islands. He has expanded his landscape design business to enclude the high altitude gardens and landscapes of Northwestern Wyoming.  He applies his industry experience to design and install Landscapes that are unique to the area, yet highlight the beauty of Northwestern Wyoming.

Steve believes successful landscape design requires interpreting and re-producing relationships between a natural environment and the needs of communities and peoples lifestyles.  Extensive experience with several landscape environments, and design themes helps in the creation of esthetically pleasing and climate appropriate garden designs.

The beauty of nature urged him to pick up a camera and see the world through a lense.  Through the lenses he sees natures perfect balance, as he strives to create this balance with a realistic approach to landscape design.  As a landscape designer and artist his goal is to create a visual and functional balance between the architecture of a home, plant life and elements of the landscape.
